MICHELE LEE CLARKE-CERES
Michele is the Co-Founder of WorldCeres Inc. an international consultancy focused on business development, Soft Skills Training, and Career Coaching. She is the Creator and Instructor of the WorldCeres Inc. Soft Skills Curriculum is also the Host/Creator of the.global.advocate.career.podcast. -
Michele is also a contributing online writer; where she writes about career advancement and other topics. On her podcast she interviews individuals who are making a difference in their careers from around the globe. Michele teaches soft skills to students at all levels and coaches adults experiencing transition in the workplace.
Michele’s international affairs and governmental experience spans over 20 years of progressively responsible positions in the New York City Council, Executive Chamber – State of New York and for the US Department of State. She has held the positions of Chief of Staff (Principality of Andorra to the United Nations), Deputy Chief of Protocol (United States Mission to the United Nations) and then Chief of Staff (Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson) – a member of the British Monarchy. She also served as Chief of Protocol (Governor of State of New York) and as Chief of Staff (First Lady of the State of New York) where she was later appointed New York State Honorary Chairperson of United Nations Day. Michele was also the Director (Higher Education Alliance, Humpty Dumpty Institute) and Admissions Officer (International School of Brooklyn), where she also served as Vice President of the Parents Association and is currently Class Parent. Most recently, Michele held the position of Senior Director, Enrollment Management Operations (New York University). She holds B.A. in English from the State University of New York, College at Fredonia, holds an Advanced Diploma in Coaching from New York University (NYU) and her New York State Real Estate License.
Michele is fluent in Spanish, proficient in Brazilian Portuguese; and has a working knowledge of French and Catalan. She also has a passion for the performing arts and is an actress, stand-up comedian, writer, and producer. She also makes phenomenal roasted Brussel Sprouts.
RUDYARD W. CERES, ESQ.
Rudyard W. Ceres is a dual qualified UK and US lawyer. Rudy’s work has transcended over 20 years of international legal and financial experience, including representing Fortune 500 companies (Boeing, Marriott, etc.), and he is particularly versed in conducting business in Africa and Europe.
Currently, Rudy is the Founding Partner of Ceres Law, a minority international corporate law firm based in New York, serving domestic and international clients in a variety of disciplines and industries. Ceres Law develops outstanding and diverse legal teams to deliver effective legal advice and results for our clients in the U.S., the U.K., the Caribbean, and numerous countries in Africa. From corporate transactional and compliance counseling to fund formation, litigation to international arbitration, we draw on the multifaceted background and expertise of our colleagues to advise and advocate on the issues that matter most to our clients, from a “business first” perspective. Among other matters, Ceres Law is presently working with a large U.S. global satellite company as they expand in Rwanda and Kenya; a large US-based shipping company with maritime commercial litigation in Nigeria; and, an international company, setting up business operations in New York and Florida.
Also, Rudy is President of an international consulting firm, WorldCeres Inc., co-founded with his wife, Michele L. Clarke-Ceres which is focused on working with businesses, domestically and internationally; as well as mentoring students and adults in their professional journey.
Previously, among other positions, Rudy was the Managing Partner, Africa, Latin America and Caribbean, for Cooke Robotham, the first minority international law firm in the US. In such capacity Rudy successfully developed Cooke Robotham’s international partners and practices to deliver superior legal services to our clients. For almost ten years, Rudy was associated with the international law firm of Bryan Cave LLP, as a member of the International Trade and Commercial Litigation Client Service Groups. His brief covered a range of international trade issues, including export controls, import regulations, economic sanctions, international arbitration and regulatory compliance. Also, Rudy represented the South African Government in the United States and Canada in a number of diverse areas, including advising the Department of Foreign Affairs/Defense concerning the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and U.S. sanctions; and, advising the Department of Trade and Industry in connection with foreign direct investment in the hospitality market.
Rudy is a member of the NY State and Federal Bars; a member of the Electoral Roll of England and Wales; and, he has been a member of a number of for profit and not-for-profit boards, including NYC & Co, and currently he is the President of Board of Trustees for Brooklyn Excelsior Charter School, Brooklyn, NY.
